Caring for every child
1
Hospital-based training
During her pediatric residency, Dr. Alicja gained extensive experience caring for children with complex medical conditions, developmental differences, autism, severe dental anxiety, and other special healthcare needs. Her hospital-based training also included emergency dental care, restorative dentistry, laser dentistry, and comprehensive dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia.
2
Building trust with families
Dr. Alicja especially values building trust with children and families. Her approach incorporates behavior guidance, desensitization, and individualized strategies to help children feel as comfortable and successful as possible during dental visits. Her interest in caring for children with special needs extends beyond clinical care. During residency, Dr. Alicja presented research examining parents’ perceptions of Child Life Specialists in special-needs dentistry, and she has volunteered extensively with Special Olympics Colorado’s Special Smiles program.
Outside the office
Field hockey, ice hockey and Rosie
Outside the office, Dr. Alicja has always been active. She played competitive field hockey and ice hockey and now loves rollerblading with her dog, Rosie. If you spot the two of them around the South Bay, be sure to say hi!
