Pediatric dental exams and cleanings at our Redondo Beach office allow Dr. Carroll to monitor a child’s teeth, gums, bite, oral development, and cavity risk as the mouth changes over time.

During an examination, she evaluates for cavities, enamel changes, areas of irritation, tooth-eruption concerns, bite changes, and other findings that may need treatment or monitoring.

Cleanings

Professional cleanings

Professional cleanings remove plaque and buildup from areas children may have difficulty cleaning completely at home. They are also a chance to review brushing and flossing in a way that makes sense for the child’s age and abilities.

Comfort

At your child’s pace

Some children are comfortable with a traditional cleaning right away. Others may need a slower introduction, desensitization, or changes in the environment. Dr. Carroll’s team adjusts the visit to the child whenever possible rather than treating cooperation as an all-or-nothing requirement.
